Introduction

Dear Hub Host,

This guide is designed to support your efforts in organizing hubs during the edX course Just Money: Banking as if Society Mattered. The course will bring together participants from around the world to learn about and engage with the theory and practice of what we call "just banking."

The Hub experience differentiates the Just Money course from most online programs. Hubs offer face-to-face learning opportunities to participants so that they may connect and explore the field of just banking together. As a hub host, you will play a key role in helping local change-makers, organizations, and communities meet, learn, network, and co-create together.

If you are organizing a hub, the guide offers ideas and materials for how to engage the participants in your hub and incorporate the materials from the edX course. It aims to provide support that is useful across a wide range of experiences and backgrounds and is ultimately meant to serve as a resource to you. Use whatever serves your specific situation best.

Co-created Guide

This guide has been adapted from one created by Julie Arts and others for the MITx u.lab, and draws from the collective experience of hub hosts around the world.

With gratitude for your support and energy in making Just Money a global and local experience:

Katrin and Lily
